Refreshing Berry & Lemon Water

Hydrating our bodies first thing in the morning is essential for a good start of our day. With warm lemon water, we wake up our system, and help our liver to flush out toxins. Lemon water acts as a detoxifying agent, while maintaining digestive health. The vitamin c boosts the immune system, keeping infections at bay, while also helping to maintain the pH balance of the body.

A few frozen berries in your morning lemon water, not only add flavour and colour, but also enhance its wonderful effects impressively. Berries are nutritional powerhouses. We should try to consume berries every single day. Packed with vitamins, antioxidants, fibre and flavonoids, these little fruits do wonders for our health. They have been proven to have powerful cardio protective properties, to help stop cancer and to reverse physical and mental decline. Eat berries. Every day.

One way that I love to eat them is in my warm lemon water. I just add a handful of frozen berries (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, whichever I have in my freezer) in my jar and watch them dissolve in the lemony water. And as little pieces travel through my straw into my mouth, my tastebuds spark with joy. So refreshing!
